Blues Foundations Host Info

Blues Foundations is a monthly or bimonthly 1-day intensive workshop.

The basic responsibilities for a host are:

• Committing to host several months in advance
• Finding a house where the event can be held
• Finding 2 teachers
• Promoting the event at Burn Blue and through other media
• Attending the event day-of and facilitating the workshop
• Sending financial information to a Burn Blue board member

• Be willing to run workshops ~3x/year
• Help mentor new hosts so they can be as successful as possible

There are several incentives for hosting Blues Foundations including:

• Money (host pay depends on number of students)
• Contributing to your dance scene
• Practicing organization and leadership skills other than teaching
